Atlas International Insurance

Atlas International Insurance is helpful for those visiting the Schengen Countries. It is a comprehensive benefit plan designed by HCC Medical Insurance Services. The plan administrator provides Schengen Visa Letter Online. Atlas International is available for US and Non US Citizens whose travel destination excludes US. This plan can be extended upto 36 months and offers coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions. Atlas Internationalis administered by HCC Medical Insurance Services. It is underwritten by Lloyd’s.

Coverage

  • Overall Maximum Limit per Certificate Period (includes all benefits except Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Emergency Medical Evacuation and Common Carrier Accidental Death) :
    • Age 80 or older (traveling outside of the United States): $10,000.
    • Age 70 to 79: $50,000, $100,000.
    • All others: $50,000, $100,000,$200,000, $500,000 or $1,000,000
  • Deductible per certificate period
    • $0, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500
  • Co-insurance
    • Claims incurred in U.S. or Canada: For the certi!cate period, underwriters will pay 80% of the next $5,000 of eligible expenses after the deductible, then 100% to the overall maximum limit. Coinsurance will be waived if expenses are incurred within the PPO and expenses are submitted to underwriters for review and payment directly to the provider
    • Claims incurred outside U.S. or Canada: For the certi!cate period, underwriters will pay 100% of eligible expenses after the deductible up to the overall maximum limit
  • Natural disaster benefit : $100/day for 5 days.

» A child under 10 years is covered free with one parent. If both mother and father are buying the plan together then 2 kids under 10 years age are covered for free. One child under 10 years/parent is covered free under this plan
» Accidental death and dismemberment benefit is excluded during participation in sports activities
» For complications in pregnancy, the plan covers first 26 weeks of gestation only
» Plan is not available to applicant who are physically located in the state of New York at time of purchase.

Atlas International satisfies schengen visa requirements
  1. Schengen Visa requires that the insurance plan must offer a maximum coverage of atleast €30,000 and Atlas International Insurance satisfies this requirement by offering the following medical maximums:
    • Age below 70 years: $50,000, $100,000, $200,000, $500,000 or $1,000,000
    • Age 70 to 79 years: $50,000.
  2. Schengen Visa requires that the insurance plan must offer a coverage for Repatriation and Atlas International covers repatriation of remains up to the choosen overall maximum benefit
  3. Schengen Visa requires that the insurance plan must offer a coverage for Emergency Medical Evacuation and Atlas International covers emergency medical evacuation up to $500,000 lifetime maximum
  4. Schengen Visa requires that the insurance provider must have a representive office in the schengen countries and HCCMIS has a representative bureau in the schengen countries
